Just over a year ago, Alice Kinsella was not preparing for a World Championships. She had just become a mum. Now the British Olympic medallist has completed a remarkable return to elite gymnastics and has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Championships in Rotterdam this October.
Kinsella’s comeback has already made British gymnastics history. In March, only around six months after giving birth to her son Parker, she competed on the balance beam at the British Championships. She reached the final and finished fourth, becoming the first British artistic gymnast to return to elite competition after having a baby.
